As the kids head full speed into hockey season, injuries sustained in the game keep kids off the ice for several games, sometimes months.
While the kids would rather be on the bench than in the stands cheering their team to victory, not all injuries are hockey-related. Broken bones are common from participating in other sports, such as baseball, LAX, or other summer activities. Stress on their growing bodies can sometimes cause pain due to "growth plates" and may keep a player from enjoying a full season.
Even with their child's health on their minds, parents often consider the financial end of things. After all, they've paid for the season and their kid isn't playing.
Should there be a provision that allows for partial/full refund if a player is injured early in the season and will not return, or is out due to injury for more than four months?

Are you nuts? Just because your kid hurt himself on the ski hill, doesn't mean that the rest of us should foot the bill.

i totally agree. my son was broke his collarbone one year and he was out for the season and we had to sit and watch every game in the stands. It burns me that they wouldn't call up a kid permanently and give us a refund.
